It is located in beautiful surroundings in the immediate vicinity of the greater area of Urridavatnsdalir, within about 20 minutes driving distance from the centre of Reykjavik. The golf course is surrounded by lava. It is an exhilarating experience to play golf in the midst of nesting moor birds and enjoy their singing, far away from the city’s noise and everyday toil.

The club and golf course:
One of the gems in the flora of Icelandic golf courses is Oddur Golf Club. It is located in the municipality of Garðabær, in the outskirts of Reykjavík. It only takes 20 minutes to drive to Oddur Golf Club, from Reykjavik city center.
The club operates two courses, Urriðavöllur, 18 hole championship course and Ljúflingur, a 9 hole par 3 course. The Urriðavöllur course is a challenging 5.859 meter (6.407 yards) ,par 71. Officially opended in 1997 it has quickly established itself as one of the best courses in Iceland and is a regular venue on the Icelandic Amateur Tour. Oddur Golf Club was the venue for the European Ladies´ Amateur Team Championship in 2016 in which 20 national teams competed for the prestigious trophy.
The golf course is a heathland course flanked by lava from the dormant volcano Búrfell. The clubhouse, which overlooks the eighteenth and the ninth green, features a bar and a restaurant. You can enjoy light snacks or full meals in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The Pro Shop and changing rooms are also located in the clubhouse.
The practice facilities include a 16 bay driving range, two large putting greens and a bunkered chipping green. Our multilingual PGA certified Professional team are more than capable of dealing with any swing problems that may arise.

Placed in the middle of the back 9 holes of the main course, is Ljuflingur (Darling), a charming little 9 hole par 3 course, which is very suitable for working on the short game as well as for all beginners in golf.
